About Vegesna Foundation

Supporting Children with Disabilities Since 1988

Vegesna Foundation is a charitable organisation based in Kuntloor, Hyderabad, supporting children and persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, rehabilitation and compassionate care. Since 1988, the Foundation has worked to create opportunities for learning, participation and greater independence in an accessible and respectful environment.

Our Story

Vegesna Foundation was established in 1988 with a commitment to support people with disabilities and help create a more inclusive society. What began as a service initiative has developed into a long-standing effort centred on education, rehabilitation, care and community participation.

The Foundation’s work is guided by a simple belief: every child and adult with a disability deserves dignity, respect, appropriate support and the opportunity to participate meaningfully in everyday life.

Over the years, the Foundation has worked with families, educators, rehabilitation professionals, volunteers, donors and well-wishers. Their continued involvement has helped Vegesna build and sustain its facilities at Kuntloor in the Hyderabad region.

Today, Vegesna Foundation continues its work from Satya Sai Puram, Kuntloor Village, Hayathnagar Mandal, Hyderabad – 501505, Telangana, India.

Who We Support

Vegesna Foundation supports children and persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Depending on its current programmes and available resources, this may include people requiring structured education, rehabilitation, communication assistance, daily-care support or an accessible environment.

Every person has different abilities, needs and goals. The Foundation therefore aims to provide support that is respectful, person-centred and appropriate to the individual rather than based on assumptions about disability.

Families and prospective beneficiaries should contact Vegesna Foundation directly to confirm current admission criteria, programme availability, documentation and assessment procedures.

A Vision of Service

Vamsee Ramaraju founded Vegesna Foundation with a vision of creating sustained educational, rehabilitative and care support for people with disabilities. His leadership helped bring together philanthropic friends, families and professionals who shared a commitment to service and social inclusion.

The Foundation’s journey reflects a belief that meaningful change requires more than one-time assistance. It requires accessible facilities, patient support, responsible management and long-term participation from the community.

Vegesna Foundation honours this founding vision by continuing to place dignity, accountability and the needs of beneficiaries at the centre of its work.

Our Core Programmes

Special Education

Structured learning activities and appropriate educational resources can help children develop communication, participation, functional and everyday-living skills according to their individual needs.

Therapy and Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation support may include current physiotherapy, occupational-therapy, speech-support or related programme requirements delivered or supervised by appropriate professionals.

Nutrition and Daily Care

Regular programme activities may require nutritious meals, safe food preparation, hygiene resources and respectful mealtime or daily-living assistance.

Residential Care

Where currently available, residential support should provide a safe, accessible and respectful environment with appropriate daily-care arrangements. Confirm present eligibility and capacity directly with the Foundation.

Assistive and Learning Resources

Need-based mobility, positioning, communication and learning aids should be selected through suitable assessment, fitting, training and follow-up.

Family and Community Support

Disability inclusion is strengthened when families, volunteers, educators, donors and community members understand individual needs and participate responsibly.
